New publication released on Global Ecology and Oceanography of Harmful Algal Blooms
A new publication titled Global Ecology and Oceanography of Harmful Algal Blooms is now available.
The publication is edited by Michele A Burford - a member of the 6th Australian and New Zealand Cynaboacteria Workshop planning committee - along with Patricia M Gilbert, Elisa Berdalet, Grant C. Pitcher and Mingjiang Zhou.
It presents the key research areas of the Global Ecology and Oceanography of Harmful Algal Blooms (GEOHAB) programme, which promoted international collaboration to understand HAB population dynamics in various oceanographic regimes and to improve the prediction of HABs.
The book introduces readers to the overarching framework of the GEOHAB programme, factors contributing to the global expansion of harmful algal blooms, the complexities of HABs in different habitats, and the forward-looking issues to be tackled by the next generation of GEOHAB, GlobalHAB.
