Nijoy John's primary fields of interest are molecular biology, microbiology, and genomics. His PhD study (2014-2018) at the University of Melbourne primarily focussed on developing PCR-based tools to identify toxic cyanobacteria. Additionally, he has multidisciplinary skills/knowledge in the fields of biotechnology [BSc Biotechnology (Bangalore, India), MSc Biotechnology (Bangalore, India) and Master of Biotechnology Studies (Adelaide, Australia)], and business management [Diploma of Business Management (Adelaide, Australia)].
